e9 Quarter 2 reflection 

                

 I have learned that i graphic design I like to mess around with all of the different art tools and I can make some really cool looking designs using the tools. I have also learned that I am very artistic and like to make my work look perfect. 

                

                I definentaly need improvement with the pen tool I never really used the pen tool because I did not know how to use that. but if I do graphic design next year I will defiantly use the pen tool more than this year.

               What I loved most about this quarter is the cool designs and learning about the different graphic design logos that are surrounding us in our everyday life and what they mean.

               what I would change differently is more communication with others I am just really quiet so I think that I should just talk to people more and answer some questions or raise my hand.

                I have learned about adobe illustrator and adobe dream weaver these seam pretty basic answers but I really did learn allot bout these two things and hope to do them next year.

   

              one of my goals is to make my work better than this year or add change to them because I feel like I can make them better and do more with the logos that I have made.

          

Final-web Design 

                        

                     To make a website in adobe dream weaver you first have to have the documents that you want in your site to be in a file together. A example of this would be that I have a headshot.jpeg file in the same folder as my home.html. All of these files will make sense if you have ever used dreamweaver. the Final process is to import every thing that you want to be in your website. After that then what islet is just making your site look the way you want it to. 

                      For me the dreamweaver process took along time. I thought that it was really complicated to do some of the things to make a site. but if you have a really good teacher that knows how to help you the process goes by really quickly. I personally used my time to the best of my ability. I stayed on task as much as I could before getting distracted, I think that this helped me the most.

                      Challenges that i faced was the computer. for some reason my computer would not connect to the server so that was a big complication. I thought that I found a way around that but without the server I cannot import a video. the other part of the challenge was that i could not go to youtube and import the videos I made on there. This is probably what set me behind like a entire day or I would be finished.

                     

                       I learned that while using dreamweaver you have to make your time and go slow. Otherwise you might have to restart the videos like I did. And also that making web site is a lot harder than it looks.

                      

                      I thought that the web design is fun and that it was a good learning experience but I liked graphic design allot more than web design. And I also thought that without experience web design can be the hardest subject in school, other than the things listed I have had a fun quarter.

presentation blogg

                     In our Class we learned about how to put together a good presentation. some important things to a good presentation is The importance of professional appearance, facial expression, loud voice, eye-contact and posture. You obviously want to be wearing your good cloths and not the shirt from Walmart  Two important parts of a presentation is facial expression and loud voice. these are some obvious things but allot of people won't do these simple steps. The last two things are eye-contact and posture. Don't slouch around and make good eye contact are simple but hard to remember.

                      we watched 3 Ted presentations of Bill Gates, Bjorn Lomberg, and Jamie Oliver. our job as the class was to be the judge. Our job as the judge was to decide who had the best presentation skills,The importance of professional appearance, facial expression, loud voice, eye-contact and posture. I though that people like bill gates would be almost as a perfect person and would not have any flaws. But bill gates didn't really have a new smile and wasn't dressed as well as the other people 

                    when i was in front of the class I noticed some things about how I would move allot and didn't use that much gestures so i could work on doing some better gestures. other than speaking I think that i did good for coming up with a mini presentation on the spot.

illustrator logo 

                       on this project we first had to create a sketch of 3 different logos once we made the different logos we then had to choose the one we liked the most. Once we got the logo we like the most we made that logo on a new piece of paper. The logo had to fill the entire screen, and have a explanation on why we chose that logo. I chose my logo because of colors that it had, my logo had green and gold so I thought that looked cool. My logo also had a hidden message in it, if you turn my logo on its side than you see a letter N for Nathan. I thought that the hidden message was something that allot of other people would not have in their logo.

Colors

                My favorite color is blue and my least is orange the first thing that comes to me when I think of blue is a clear ocean whenever my family went on a cruise i thought the oceans looked cool. Although I have always liked the color blue and I don't know why. I see my color in things like gum and the sprite zero bottle. if I could change something to the color blue it would be the street lamps because it would make the rods look cool. the only foods that i can think of that are blue are are fruit snacks. I like the bright color blue more than the dark colors.

                 My least favorite color is orange when i think of orange i think of a dry hot gloomy desert I also have no idea why i don't like orange I see orange in things like cereal like cherieos if i cold change something orange it would be my brothers bedroom color to blue. something that is food that is orange is cherieos. the color of orange i like the least is dark orange 

Tree,Bird,House,or Flower

                    In graphic desighn our class was given a project to use the tools that we have learned to make a design of a tree,bird,house, or a flower. I chose to make a design of a bird because I thought that it could be a less challanging design to make but I was wrong. I first tried to use the shaper tool to make a eye like in the pac man project and i couldn't get it right so i just added another circle into the eye.The body was hard to shape because I wanted it ti look  different. The last main part of my bird is the feathers i used the circle tool to  make some circles then made the circled look like feathers. Last thing that i had to do was the coloring, I know that you have the rex slash through the bottom but whenever i over a color the entire bird changed colors and that was frustrating.
                    I finally go the bird finished and then i replied that their is no background so I had decided to add the ground under the bird. then i taught that i could add a blue sky in the background, whenever i moved the blue square in front of the bird the brown bird would change to the same color as the the blue sky. I couldn't figure out how to fix this problem so I took the blu sky out of the picture.

The Illustrator Experience

                    Illustrator and photoshop are different because if you zoom up in photoshop the image will begin to develop pixels all over. While using illustrator you can zoom in on the image as much as you want because illustrator uses something called vector. Vector or vectored means that the no matter how much you are zooming in the image will not develope pixels. 

                   The 3 main tools that will be used when first starting to use illustrator are the rectangle tool, fill and stroke, and then selection tool are the main tools that will be used. Rectangle tools has more than just rectangles if you hold down on the mouse than their will be allot more shapes to use. The fill and stroke tool allows us to use color and pro color into the shapes on screen. and then the tool that will be used the most is the selection tool. this tool allows you to move shapes, select colors and scale objects.

social media is very important because whenever you go to collage, people in charge of enrollment will look at all of your history and if you have smoothing bad on the media then the collage might want to have better people that will represent there school of foundation better than you will. it might not seem the important no to a high school student but in the recent pols and chats say that around 30 percent of the school got their media files checked and if the school found something bad you might not get into your school.

Some collages say that they don't do these digital footprint checks, their still is always that chance that the schools will check your background.some people applying at these schools will not have certain media, but the schools will still such up your name and if they find someone else with the same name they will not believe you.

Elevator Pitch

 An elevator pitch is a well planned, careful, and practiced way of marketing message about yourself. An elevator pitch should be done in the time it takes to ride up an elevator, words of advice is that an elevator pitch should be a goal or self promotion.

 

Elevator pitch

I like to do graphic design at my house and as a hobby. My family and professional designers say that I am really good at what I can do with pen and paper. I would like to get better at what I am doing with the help of e-Communications. I would like to use this in my everyday life or maybe even for ONW. I am inspired by my family to get better and better.

running blog

in our running blog we used the rule of thirds to make a running video of Alex chasing me because i made him drop his phone. we started out in the commons and then moved to mr coopers com room and then Alex snaps my neck and thats how it ends.we used the rule of thirds most the time, we also used all of the 6 shots so then the x axis line we tried not to cross.

things that we could have done better is the x axis line because we crossed the line once so that makes us look like we are running in a different way. we also used all of the 6 shots and our group thought that it was really good at staying together and in task.like i said earlyer we used the rule of thirds most time their might have been one or two scenes where where we crossed the line. these are somethings that we could de better.

 Technical Blog 

This blog is about the rule of thirds and what it is. Rule of thirds can be described as a tic-tac-toe board on the face of the device used to record. whenever you are setup to record instead of having the main object in the center, you would want the object being recorded more to the side of recording. A example of this would be news anchors the production crew would have then to the side of the imaginary tic-tac-toe board. when you draw the tic-tac-toe board on a piece of paper their are two points that meet at the left or right side, this is where you want to have the object. In the video provided I put two examples of rule of thirds, one is rule of thirds, the other is not rule of thirds. Another example of when rule of thirds would to be used is in the middle of a baseball game. Production crew would have the main camera focused on the player hitting the ball.

A to B video 

Daverion and I where put into a group to make a A to B sequence video, we decided that the video would be of someone moving from the E-communications room to the commons. Daverion or D and I decided that I would be the person in front of the camera but i haven't used the tripod yet. so D told me how to use the tripod. then Alex said that he would be in the video also because he was not assigned a group that day. I think that it was cool that i did not have to be on the camera because i am am shy guy, and haven't used a tripod yet.

Now we started to film, filming was really fun because D is really funny and it was a good hour and 30 minutes. I chose some of the angles, D chose some of the scenes, and Alex was walking around. after we started to fit we had to get some of the editing done. editing for me was really hard because for some the video in the middle would keep on disappearing, it was so confusing to me. our editing was of Alex going into the commons and reading. It was really fun working with D, I think that our video is really good and had a fun time.

flags

We were first split into groups. I was worried about people in my group and if I there was people that I knew. my group was pretty cool to be in and we had a lot of fun designing the flag. our group and I designed a flag with a big X going through the middle, thats when we decided to choose some colors. We decided to add, black,blue,red,and white in our flag. We decided that it the flag would look cool if everything related to sports so I added a golf ball design to add into the flag, also had a ballet sho, a soccer ball, and lecross logo. Later on the cement block we all added to the design and it came out a lot better. After all we drew it out with chalk and became a really cool looking flag.
